Who we are
Kompoundz (“we”, “us”) operates this website at kompoundz.com. We are the data controller for personal data collected through it. If you have any question about this policy or about how your data is handled, contact us at contact@kompoundz.com.
What we collect
This website has no contact form, no account system and no newsletter. We collect personal data in only two ways.
When you email us. If you contact us at the address published on this site, we receive your email address, your name if you provide it, and whatever you choose to include in your message.
If you accept analytics cookies. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used — pages viewed, approximate location at city level, device and browser type, and how you arrived at the site. IP addresses are anonymised. Google Analytics is loaded only after you accept analytics cookies, and not before. If you reject them, no analytics cookies are set and no data is sent to Google.
Cookies
We set one strictly necessary item of local storage to remember your cookie choice so that you are not asked on every visit. It contains only the words “accepted” or “rejected” and no identifier. This does not require consent.
If you accept analytics, Google Analytics 4 sets its own cookies to distinguish returning visitors and measure sessions. You can change your mind at any time using the “Cookie settings” link in the footer of every page.
Why we use your data, and our legal basis
To respond to your enquiry. Our legal basis is legitimate interests — we cannot reply to a business enquiry without processing the message you sent us.
To measure how the site performs. Our legal basis is your consent, given through the cookie banner and withdrawable at any time.
We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling, and we do not use it to build marketing lists.
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal data and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. Data is processed on our behalf by our website host (Vercel Inc.), our email provider (Microsoft Corporation) and, where you have consented, our analytics provider (Google LLC). Each acts under contract and may process data outside the UK and EEA. Where that happens, transfers are covered by the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, EU Standard Contractual Clauses or an applicable adequacy decision.
How long we keep it
Email correspondence is retained for as long as needed to deal with the matter it concerns and to meet our legal and record-keeping obligations, after which it is deleted. Google Analytics data is retained for 14 months from collection. Your cookie preference is stored in your own browser until you clear it.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have inaccurate data corrected, to have your data erased, to restrict or object to processing, and to receive your data in a portable format. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time without affecting processing already carried out.
To exercise any of these rights, email contact@kompoundz.com. We will respond within one month.
If you are not satisfied with our response you may complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK supervisory authority for data protection, at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any change takes effect when it is published on this page, and the date at the top of the page is updated accordingly.
